Ella Street Conservation Area Public Consultation

Ella Street Conservation Area was adopted by Hull City Council in 1994 and provides heritage protection for the Victorian and Edwardian development of Ella Street, and adjoining Courts. The Council are in the process of reviewing its Conservation Areas, with Ella Street being the seventh area to have been reviewed and subject to public consultation.

For Ella Street the following proposals are being subject to public consultation -

  • Changes to the designated boundary of the Ella Street Conservation Area
  • The adoption of a Conservation Area ‘Character Appraisal and Management Plan’
  • The Adoption of an Article 4 Direction

Following public consultation relevant amendments will be undertaken to the proposed boundary changes and management documents, and they will be returned to Committee and Cabinet for formal adoption.
