Which of the following best describes you? (Choose any one option)

Phase one research

Previous research for this project has identified the following as priorities for the local area -

  • people felt that there were significant traffic issues along the high street including congestion and speeding cars.
  • people feel that the buildings along the high street are not in a good condition, well kept or attractive.
  • people felt that the high street was not kept clean nor free from litter.
  • people felt that the pavements were not in a good condition.
  • people would welcome more community pop up events.
  • people felt that there were not enough outdoor communal spaces to sit and meet friends to eat and drink.

The masterplan proposes the following - do you feel these solutions will address the priorities outlined above?

Enhance the sense of arrival into the neighbourhood centre and Woodford Leisure Centre.
New/improved crossings and traffic calming along Holderness Road to give priority to pedestrians and cyclists.
Review access in front of Woodford Leisure Centre. This could help limit vehicular turning in the area that jeopardise cyclists and pedestrians.
Improve existing cycle lanes with new markings, segregation, greening and sustainable drainage options, where possible.
Introduce new street trees, planters, street furniture (including bins) and cycle parking along Holderness Road.
New wayfinding features that signpost to key destinations, such as East Park, the docks and the leisure centre.
Enhance existing green spaces to include sustainable drainage and attractive planting.
